There are so many software tools out there - how do you know which ones to use?
On this page, I've listed the software and tools I use and HIGHLY RECOMMEND...
(this list was originally created for #Parentpreneurs who are online coaches and consultants, but the software can be used with any business and not just for the purposes listed)
I've also broken the list down into free software (or ones that have a free version) if you're starting out and paid ones that provide even more efficiency and allow you to build that "semi-retire" lifestyle so you have more time to make memories with your loved ones.

RECOMMENDED FREE SOFTWARE
Video & Screen Recording / Creating Your Course
Easily capture video from multiple cameras, presentations and screens. A great alternative to Zoom and they have a free account. Sign-up here.
While Zoom is primarily thought of as a video chat software, you can create a meeting of 1 and use it to record your camera or screen. Sign-up here.
Save & Deliver Your Program
Easily store and share files and folders. You can create your program or course as a Folder and then when someone signs up for your program, just give them access to the folder with the various modules or milestones. When you're starting out, the value and transformation are much more important than fancy software and membership sites. Sign-up here.
I've started writing and drawing in my presentations and have found them convert much higher. Drawing on the iPad makes it more interactive and keeps someone's attention better than staring at a static slide. I've purchased multiple note taking and drawing apps for my iPad and none of them are better than the free OneNote app. Sign-up here.
Schedule Calls
Free calendar scheduling software with several great features - even on the free plan. Best to use when starting out. Sign-up here.
Accept Payments
Stripe is a great way to take payments when you're starting out. It connects to thousands of softwares, is quick and reliable. As you grow (or if you have a higher than 1% refund rate), you'll want to use something different. But this is by far one of the best payment processing platforms for new businesses. Sign-up here.
Client Support / Interactions
Facebook Groups are a great (and free) way to interact with your clients. Facebook allows you to create Guides, go Live, upload files, and like and comment on each other's posts. The only issue with Facebook Groups is Facebook doesn't show your post to everyone in the group. You need to make sure they turn on notifications. Sign-up here.
One of my coaches and mentors used Telegram (instead of Facebook Group) to communicate with his private clients. I actually really liked it and have used it for some of my paid programs as well. It's free, easy to use, and not as distracting as Facebook. Sign-up here.
Images & Graphics
I use Canva to create 95% of my graphics and images. I also crop photos, create logos, make YouTube thumbnails and a whole lot more. Very easy to use and highly recommend. Sign-up here.
RECOMMENDED PAID SOFTWARE
Internal Communication & Project Management (combination of Slack, Trello, UpClick/Asana)
Nifty has replaced Slack, Trello, and Click-Up/Asana for us for internal communications, project management and organizational things. It's a powerful software that we have absolutely loved and has allowed us to be more efficient by having all internal company-related things in one place. Sign-up here.
Coaching Platform
We needed a platform to house our courses, a place where members could communicate and engage with us and each other and where we could help hold them accountable and track their progress. UpCoach is a single software solution that we are absolutely loving. UpCoach replaced having Slack, private Facebook Group, and Kajabi to fulfill on our coaching programs. Audio, Video & Screen Recording & Editing
I used to use ScreenFlow, Camtasia, and all these other complicated and time-consuming programs. Descript changed all of that. I absolutely love this software and use it to record and edit videos, screen shares, and even my podcast episodes. One of my all-time favorites. Sign-up here.
Professional Email Account
When you can, upgrade to a more professional email address. Simple as that. Sign-up here.
All-In-One Marketing/CRM/Sales Platform
The best all-in-one marketing platforms. We replaced ClickFunnels, ActiveCampaign, Kajabi, Calendly and JotForm with Fractal-CRM... giving us a single platform to run our businesses and saving about a thousand dollars a month. Automated Facebook Prospecting & CRM

Content Creation (Text)
WordHero is a great AI content generation software. With 64 writing tools in your toolkit, you can create everything from blog articles, ads, emails, YouTube descriptions and everything in between. Sign-up here.
Another awesome content generation software. In fact, I started with Jasper prior to finding WordHero. Jasper has lots of templates, a better community, more users, and amazing training and value videos. I have found it also produces a little bit higher quality content than WordHero. The downside? It is quite a bit more expensive. I recommend you check them both out and sign-up for the one that most aligns with what you're looking for. Sign-up here.
Images & Graphics
If you can upgrade to the paid version and get the additional features, I highly recommend it. Not a day goes by that I don't use Canva. I use Canva to create 95% of my graphics and images. Live Streaming
Create professional livestreams with frames, countdown timers, graphics, images, multiple scenes, etc. I love Ecamm and use it for streaming, conducting interviews and hosting podcast guests, recording videos, and more. Sign-up here.
